Bent Frequency (BF) will present a performance of musical works featuring bicycles, including the Atlanta premiere of Mauricio Kagel’s Eine Brise (A Breeze) for 111 cyclists, a new work entitled The Pied Piper of the Ether written specifically for this project by Atlanta performer and composer Klimchak and the US premiere of Matthias Kaul’s Wheeled.
We are looking for Atlanta area cyclists who would like to participate in the performance of Kagel’s Eine Brise (111 of you!). The performance will take place as part of Art on the BeltLineand will be at 5:30pm on Sunday, October 11th in the Old 4th Ward Park (near the splash pad). The show will begin and end with performances of Eine Brise. Your time commitment to the project would be from 4-6:30pm on this day. Be a part of public art and perform with us! You do not need to have musical knowledge to participate, but must be able to follow directions while riding your bike (ie. ring your bell or honk your horn, whistle or make other vocal sounds at the appropriate moments.)
You must have your own bicycle, helmet and a horn or bell to participate.
